Experience:

1994 to Present: Owner of Clear Idea Design, a web and graphic design studio based in Baker, LA. Designed and produced all manner of award winning corporate communications.

1987-1994: I was a full-time Assistant Professor at Louisiana State University teaching all aspects of Graphic Design.

1986-1988: Art Director/Creative Director at Weill and East Adverting. My job was to design and produce all manner of award winning corporate communications.

1985-1986: Owner of Clear Image Design, an illustration and graphic design studio based in Baton Rouge, LA. My job was to design and produce all manner of award winning corporate communications.

1982-1985: Art Director/Creative Director at H. S. Benjamin Advertising and Public Relations. My job was to design and produce all manner of award winning corporate communications.

I have been a member of the board of directors of the Advertising Federation of Baton Rouge for three years. In 1998 I received the Silver Award for service.

Education:

Graduated from Southeastern Louisiana University in 1980 with High Honors and a BFA in Art Education.

Became certified to teach art in K-12 on May 10, 1983 (type C). Scored in the 96th percentile on the National Teachers Exam.

I Received my MFA from Syracuse University in New York for Advertising Design in August 1990. The Master's of Fine Arts program in Advertising Design I participated in at Syracuse University believes in aggressive research of the most current developments in Advertising Design through personal contact with its most accomplished practitioners. Our instructors in this program have included; Lou Dorfsman, Nancy Rice of Fallon, McElligott, Rice, Don Trousdell, Stavros Cosmopulos, Gary Gray, Amil Gargano, Bob Gill, Richard Hess, Charles Rosner, Marty Pedersen, Jean Govoni, Bill Taubin and others.

1988: $5,000 Graphic Design Fellowship from the State of Louisiana, Division of the Arts.

1983-88: Chosen by the Arts and Humanities Council of Greater Baton Rouge to paint Iris nelsonii, Iris fulva and Iris brevicaulis, Iris giganticaerulea and Iris hexagona. limited edition prints of 400 each were published by the Arts and Humanities Council of Greater Baton Rouge annually for five years.
